On Wed. Feb 7th, 2018,10 students from 4 area high schools competed in the Baltimore Brain Bee, part of the International Brain Bee competition.
We are delighted to announce the 1st place winner, Mr. Justin Bai, Gilman. Congratulations, Justin!
Justin finished 2nd last year, and returned to win the Bee Trophy, which will be displayed at Gilman.
Justin Bai will be the Baltimore City participant for the USA National Brain Bee competition March 15-18th, 2018, held at the University of Maryland Medical School.
Congratulations to our second and third place participants, Mr. Bryan Dong, Gilman 2nd, and Mr. Romero Montoya-Brissett, Baltimore Polytechnic Institute 3rd.

The Bee coordinators wish to thank Principal Cindy Harcum of Baltimore City College for providing our beautiful venue, Doetsch Hall in the newly renovated library at Baltimore City College HS.
We also thank Judge Dr. Amy Shelton of JHU School of Education and her colleagues Ms. Ashley Flynn and Dr. Frank Williams of Baltimore City Initiatives and JH Center for Talented Youth, for officiating the competition. We hope they will return next year.
